Your Pre-College Checklist
ÌýBeginning in May, we recommend you complete the following inÌý before classes start:
- Submit your final high school transcript to the Office of Admissions at transcripts@colorado.edu
- Send in your scholarship checks at least one month before the bill due date
- Select or waive your
- Setup Direct Deposit to receive any financial aid refund (if applicable) as soon as possible
If you took out a loan:
- Accept the student loans you want in
- Complete and a (required for loan borrower)
- Parent PLUS loans require an to be completed by the parent borrower
- Parent loans also require a to be completed by the parent borrower
- Apply for a private loan if you wish to receive one
Colorado residents:
- Complete the College Opportunity Fund (COF) application and authorization
- COF provides Colorado residents with free money to help pay for college

Security Access & Authorizations
FERPA - enables the university to talk to your parents about your educational records. There are other types of authorization:
- CU Guest Access: enables your parents to some of yourÌýeducation record online.
- Security Passphrase: a step to your identityÌýbefore we can disclose any information.
- Authorized Payer Access: allows others to pay your university bill.
- Apply Aid to All University Charges: authorize aid to pay other university charges.
