- The Bioneers network event Front Range Eco-Social Solutions will return to CU Boulder Feb. 3 and 4. The event, produced by the CU Environmental Center, brings together progressive thinkers of the region to address both global and local issues.
- In July, the BUENO Center for Multicultural Education will host the 2017 Summer Institute "From the Past into the Future: Equity, Justice, and Diversity." The conference is designed for K-12 teachers and administrators to build knowledge and skills about the education of diverse learners.
- Two engineering students, Yohannese Gebremedhin and Arthur Antoine, organized the 2016 National Society of Black Engineers’ (NSBE) Fall Region 6 Conference, to be held Nov. 4–6 in Denver. The event has attracted hundreds of people from the region, and registration is still open.
- With 2,250 people resettled in Colorado in 2015, a Leeds School summit on Wednesday, Oct. 26 – which is free and open to the public – will examine how business schools, businesses, nonprofits, governments and others can help integrate refugees into local economies.

- The CU Faculty Council committees on LGBTQ+ issues and Ethnic and Minority Affairs are co-hosting a collaborative, day-long symposium entitled "Intersections: Race, Gender, and Sexuality in Research and Teaching"Â on the CU Boulder campus on Friday, Nov. 11, in the University Memorial Center.
- The Federal Land Policy and Management Act turns 40 on Oct. 21. Join Colorado Law for a one-day conference featuring panels with top experts in the field discussing important aspects of the law and challenges facing public land managers.
- The College of Media, Communication and Information is hosting an immersive coding workshop for those interested in learning the building blocks of web design. This hands-on introductory workshop will last three days, Oct. 28 through 30, and costs $30 for CU students, $40 for non-students.
- A CU Boulder team will address Latino community involvement in green economies, which aim to reduce environmental impact and emphasize sustainable development, at the RISE Colorado Latino Business Conference in Longmont on Friday, Oct. 14. The event is free and open to the public.
