- To be inducted in November, the nine new members represent eight sports. They include one athlete who lettered in four of those sports and a national championship coach. All have their special place in the history of CU athletics.
- The American Astronomical Society Division on Dynamical Astronomy awarded Ann-Marie Madigan its Vera Rubin Early Career Award for her research spanning the outer solar system to black holes at the centers of galaxies.
- Shelly Miller and her colleagues have been at the forefront of research on how SARS-CoV-2 spreads through tiny airborne particles. Their studies have led to the creation of safety protocols for singing and playing musical instruments.
- An interdisciplinary team of CU Boulder engineering students has aced the 2021 Solar District Cup Collegiate Design Competition.
- Todd Whittaker, a first-year doctoral candidate in the Holewinski and Musgrave groups, is the Graduate and Professional Student Government Outstanding Research Assistant Award winner for 2021.
- Pawel Sawicki of the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences is the lead author on a paper that recently won an award. Read more from Sawicki about the work and why his college and department are becoming a national powerhouse in the field of hypersonics.
