Center for Teaching & Learning Spring Conference 2020

For 2020, the Center for Teaching & Learning is combining the annual Spring Conference and annual Collaborative Preparing Future Faculty Network Forum to maximize the opportunity for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from all participating institutions to network, collaborate and learn from one another. Mark your calendars for the Graduate School’s annual 3MT competition finals, and be ready for vote for your favorite presenter to win the People’s Choice award.

Last year’s first-place winner, Hannah Glick, placed first at the regional competition of Western Association of Graduate Schools last March. Glick recently presented at the annual meeting of the Council of Graduate Schools and will be a featured Forever Buff at this spring’s CU Next events in New York City and Chicago. Funding opportunities

  Proposal deadline Jan. 10
The Open Space and Mountain Parks Department (OSMP) of the city of Boulder has  through its funded research program for scientific inquiry on OSMP lands. The maximum award amount is $10,000. Proposal deadline is Jan 10. For more information, contact Brian Anacker at anackerb@bouldercolorado.gov.

Apply for the 2020 Summer Internship Program in Research for Graduate Students by Feb. 1. Interns in this eight-week program participate in research under the guidance of an ETS mentor. Projects may be conducted in one of nine research areas.

Deadlines for December grads

Dec. 19: Pick up diplomas (doctoral students) 

Doctoral students are invited to pick up their diplomas on Dec. 19 between 9 a.m. and noon in the C4C Flatirons Room. Graduates should have received an invitation via email with additional information and should feel free to contact gradinfo@colorado.edu with any questions or concerns. Doctoral students may order an official transcript with degree posted on Dec. 20 through the .

Jan. 21: Update diploma name, address (master’s students)

Students whose master’s degrees will be awarded in December must update diploma name and address through the . The deadline for doctoral students was Dec. 9.

Jan. 24: Order official transcript (master’s students)

Master’s students may order an official transcript with degree posted on Jan. 24, 2020, through the . Diplomas will be mailed directly to graduates beginning Feb. 17, 2020.
