- Matei Fawzy (Bus'23) is a co-founder of ASANTe, an innovative social media platform that empowers and recognizes users who engage in service and socially conscious enterprise by sending TCards (thank you cards) to one another. Launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Matei and his team have made immense progress in just under a year by taking advantage of CU Boulder's innovative and entrepreneurial resources.
- Founded in August 2020, CareBridge is a digital mental health platform geared toward alleviating the stress that comes with mental illnesses and connecting individuals with care that is catered to their needs.
- Meet Marlo Vernon, CU Leeds School of Business alumna and CEO of CarePenguin, a company bringing non-invasive activity-monitoring technology to market. Marlo studied Marketing and got her Entrepreneurship Certificate through the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship.
- Meet Tim Visos-Ely, a 2019 CU Boulder alum and co-founder of StrideTech, a company that produces an embedded walker attachment that provides real-time haptic feedback when incorrect walker use is detected. Tim developed StrideTech by taking advantage of the many entrepreneurial resources at CU Boulder, such as Design for America, New Venture Challenge and Catalyze CU.
- Meet Alex Mulvaney, CEO and co-founder of ShineOn, a company providing a unique spin on the typical bike light. Alex graduated from CU Boulder in 2019 with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and competed in New Venture Challenge 11.
- Lucas Gama (CompSci '22, pictured left) & Luiz Pompeo (Bus'22, pictured right) came separately to the U.S. from Brazil to study at CU Boulder, but they banded together on campus to form Zucchini, a B2B food platform.
- Kailey is the CEO of Chembotix, a company that is developing a robotic automation platform to dramatically speed up chemistry research & development (R&D). As a second-time NVC participant, she's immersed herself in CU Boulder's innovation ecosystem to help get her startup off the ground.
- StrideTech was founded with a mission to reduce the fall risk of seniors who use walkers. The startup has created a technology embedded walker attachment that provides real-time haptic feedback when incorrect walker use is detected, empowering aging adults to learn and maintain correct mobility device use.
- This is the highest ranking NVC has achieved since its inception in 2009.
- Meet Maggie Grout, a senior studying Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Maggie is the founder of the nonprofit, Thinking Huts, which she started at age 15 after being fascinated with the idea of leveraging technology to create architectural solutions that increase educational opportunities around the world.
