New Venture Challenge Track Finals are in full swing, and we're excited to announce KartWheel as the second NVC 11 Championships finalist! KartWheel is a specialized transportation company established to transport students with disabilities and injuries from their homes to specific buildings on campus.

Nimb.ly took home the first place prize and $3,500 at the NVC 11 IT Track Finals after pitching their business idea to a panel of judges and 100 more in attendance. The team is creating a revolutionary software platform that helps catering companies keep their events efficiently staffed.

This week on Students and Startups, CU Boulder alum Fletcher Richman talks about how he took advantage of a multitude of resources on campus from New Venture Challenge to Catalyze CU, and these experiences plus being in the Boulder startup community sparked his entrepreneurial journey.

The company competed in NVC8 and was founded in 2016 by PhD student Murad Kablan and Assistant Professor Eric Keller from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Boulder-based interactive toy and robot maker Sphero today announced the acquisition of CU Boulder’s 2018 New Venture Challenge champion Specdrums. 

New Venture Challenge track finals are happening this week, and the excitement and tension is thick.  The level of competition has never been higher, with over 125 teams competing across four tracks, and many of them are very strong contenders.

During Homecoming Week 2017, The New Venture Challenge (NVC), CU Boulder’s premiere cross campus venture challenge, hosted its 10th annual Quick Pitch Nights!

It’s going to be a groundbreaking year for the CU Boulder New Venture Challenge.
