2023 Colorado Law Wrapped

It’s hard to believe 2023 is coming to a close! The past year at Colorado Law has been filled with historic achievements, many hours of hard work, hundreds of events, and countless successes from all corners of our community. We are so grateful for the dedication and support of our faculty, staff, alumni, and of course, our amazing students. All we accomplished this past year was made possible through their efforts.Ìý

Below are just a few highlights from across the law school:

  • In May, we said goodbye to the Class of 2023, an incredible group of students whoÌýcompleted 9,362 public service hours by graduation. Since graduation,Ìý91% (156/171) of the class of 2023 has reported post-graduate employment, and 89% haveÌýreported full-time jobs lasting one year or moreÌýthat either require bar passage or for which a JD is an advantage.
  • This fall, we proudly welcomed the class of 2026, Colorado Law’sÌýmost academically competitive class. Ever.ÌýOur 1Ls held aÌýmedian GPA of 3.81, and a median LSAT score of 164.ÌýWe can’t wait to see what they achieve over the next few years within the walls of the Wolf Law building and far beyond!Ìý
  • Students in our clinical education program worked hard this past year,Ìýcompleting 12,755 hours in clinics. TheyÌýserved 119 clients, withÌý111 of those clients being individuals and families. Excellent work!Ìý
  • Scholarships continued to play a critical role in supporting students throughout their law school journey. Thanks to donor funding,Ìý190 scholarshipsÌýwere provided to students in 2023.Ìý
  • Staff, faculty, and students kept busy,Ìýhosting 254 eventsÌýthis year!Ìý
  • In addition toÌýproviding 624 bagels at Legal Grounds, our monthly community breakfasts,Ìýour student affairs team supported and trainedÌý53 student organizations.Ìý
  • This fall, Colorado Law welcomed a recordÌýeight new faculty membersÌýwhose wide-ranging expertise spans constitutional and immigration law, technology law and policy, environmental law, civil rights, gender and the law, and more.

These numbers are just a small illustration of student, faculty, and staff triumphs throughout the year. As we bid farewell to 2023, we look to the new year as an opportunity to further our commitment toÌýproviding students with a state-of-the-art legal education while serving as a catalyst for meaningful public service.Ìý
