Staff Innovation
After taking a hiatus during the pandemic, Innovation Buffs is kicking off its third year later this month with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Innovation Buffs enables university staff members to team up with colleagues to identify problems and potential solutions.
“This program is a positive, progressive move for CU Boulder,” said Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty. “It will lessen the criminal justice footprint in the lives of students while still allowing CUPD to keep this beautiful campus safe for everyone. I applaud Chief Jokerst and CU Boulder for this innovative and important reform.”
"We had two vacant positions in our field staff (a 33 percent vacancy)," said McGann. "I offered the opportunity to our customer service staff to work with the field staff this summer. This helped the short-handed field staff who needed to work on campus and also decreased the length of furloughs for our customer service staff from 76 to 70 weeks."
