CU INVST: Eco-Social Justice & Community Transformation
INVST is currently accepting early applications & they have scholarship awards for students who apply to INVST & are accepted into the Class of 2022-2024. That INVST cohort begins programming in Summer 2022.ÌýFor IAFS Majors & Minors who have a commitment to environmental activism, who work for social justice, who wish to fight climate change as a united global community, who are concerned about immigration policy, or, who have a vision for progressive change, INVST might be an ideal compliment to your IAFS studies.
INVSTÌýoffers community-based learning for eco-social transformation!
INVSTÌýis a unique opportunity at CU Boulder for students from all Majors who are interested in eco-social justice. We develop community leaders who engage in compassionate action as a lifetime commitment. Our two-year program features a small, cohort-based opportunity to learn with like-minded people who are passionate about making positive change. We offer internships in the local community with non-profit organizations, scholarship support for those who need it, and memorable summer travel experiences.

In internships,ÌýINVSTÌýstudents work with nearby non-profits on issues like food insecurity; youth voter turnout; gender justice; organic farming & sustainability activism.ÌýLearn first-hand about immigration, economic justice, and climate action by traveling with us to meet change-makers.
You can earn the Leadership Studies Minor by participating. More than half ofÌýINVSTÌýstudents receive financial aid, including these 2 awards:
- The DreamerÌýScholarship:ÌýDreamers and DACA recipients are encouraged toÌýapplyÌýfor an award up to $5,000 to help cover tuition and life expenses. This scholarship will be granted to those who are ineligible for federal financial aid.Ìý
- James Downton Community Leadership Scholarship: $2,500 will be awarded to two students in the incomingÌýINVSTÌýcohort who demonstrate financial need.ÌýÌý
