Course Description

The purpose of Becoming an Inclusive LeaderÌýseries is to provide supervisors, managers, leaders and aspiring leaders at CU Boulder with the knowledge and skills to lead their teamsÌýto be more inclusiveÌýandÌýequitable,Ìýas well as the ability toÌýcreate a sense of belongingÌýamong team members.ÌýCU Boulder is committed to advancing the IDEA Plan and building an inclusive culture onÌýcampus.Ìý

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how a leader's lived experiences, identities, biases, and leadership style influence their role as a supervisor/manager in creating an inclusiveÌýenvironment. Select inclusive strategies to support a sense of belonging for their teams.Ìý
  • Apply inclusive practices to retain and engage direct reports.ÌýExamine ways to increase their intercultural competence.Ìý
  • Develop inclusive habits for managing performance.ÌýDesign an inclusive excellence plan to operationalize the IDEA Plan.Ìý
